Manitoba Introduced New Instructions For MPNP

On April 22, 2022, the Government of Manitoba published a new Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) notice regarding COVID-19.

Applicants who were laid-off due to COVID-19 and then have resumed working in the province can count months of work before and after the layoff towards the eligibility for the MPNP.

Those, who are on a temporary work permit in the province and lost their job permanently due to the pandemic can count the time they have worked for their previous and the new company towards the eligibility for the MPNP. Applicants who have been laid off or their hours have been reduced, or have been laid off and re-hired have to obtain detailed documentation from their employers and include them in their application.
