Over the last week, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held new draws in the pools of International Experience Canada (IEC). From February 18 to February 24, Canada invited 5,704 young foreigners to apply for an IEC open work permit. As of February 24, there were 11,804 candidates registered in the pool, waiting for the invitation. In this round, there were 2 ITAs for Andorra, 225 ITAs for Australia, 9 ITAs for Austria, 34 ITAs for Belgium, 262 ITAs for Chile, 10 ITAs for Costa Rica, 1 ITA for Croatia, 43 ITAs for the Czech Republic, 1 ITA for Denmark, 4 ITAs for Estonia, 2,544 ITAs for France, 154 ITAs for Germany, 15 ITAs for Greece, 11 ITAs for Hong Kong, 305 ITAs for Ireland, 65 ITAs for Italy, 173 ITAs for Japan, 647 ITAs for Korea, 6 ITAs for Latvia, 9 ITAs for Lithuania, 4 ITAs for Luxembourg, 59 ITAs for the Netherlands, 64 ITAs for New Zealand, 3 ITAs for Norway, 24 ITAs for Poland, 32 ITAs for Portugal, 16 ITAs for Slovakia, 1 ITA for Slovenia, 74 for Spain, 10 ITAs for Sweden, 14 ITAs for Switzerland, 570 ITAs for Taiwan, and 312 ITAs for the United Kingdom. In addition, the Government of Canada issued 1 ITA for recognized organizations. In 2023, Canada issued 57,374 ITAs under the IEC Program.
